Master Bedroom

This bedroom seems to have a horizontal wood trace just below ceiling, possibly 12 inches wide. Rope lighting above. In our smaller bedroom, maybe 8-10 inches is better. Thoughts ?

I’m still looking at the outside of the house for a place for this little item, Or a pair.

Pleasant colors, but lighter shades would help. Gray carpet kind of blah. What about pale aqua or ivory? It would gather much light from west window. Also with so much greenery outside, how would that affect this color palette?

What are your thoughts about a hardwood floor, plus rugs? Maybe that would compete with the bed and dressers(?)
