BN general decor: I like the rug, the chairs, the old fireplace... from this angle, not sure about the lamp but it could work fine in the third dimension (from here the lamp is so unusual, it really fights with the fireplace). But overall I find this design very appealing and restrained without being bland or timid.

I like the design and the intention, but it's too monochromatic

Overall neutral, muted with pops of color. Ceiling probably too much but cool!

Like this quite a bit. Subtle but effective wall paint, and the wood pieces are also playing a nice role. Artwork on the walls but not clustered

Feel that I should like this more than I do but not sure why. Not enough pop? Too subdued or monochrome?

Just included as an example of decor that is too minimal for me, too little going on

Too much going on, but trying to imagine if the rug and couch were more subdued then the wall paint plus artwork might be enough to enliven the room

Maybe a little too bland? The colored couch helps, which is the reverse of how I like to think of it (muted furniture, brighter rugs/artwork/wall paint)
