The living room’s soaring ceilings posed a challenge. Curtis responded by creating a large plaster arch on the wall, which gives the illusion of a niche. She also added an architectural chandelier that helps bring the ceiling down to human scale. The designer delineated a seating area within the large room with an area rug, creating a more intimate feel. She then designed a round wood coffee table to anchor the space.
