Would like a built-in bar in basement as part of reconfiguring the floor. Possible options to gain additional square footage on basement level are removing walls, opening space in middle near bathroom, relocating laundry room and furnace, or maybe even removing earth under any addition built on side of house. Vision of basement as "man cave" entertainment space with bar, TV, couches, pool table. What are the possibilities on the basement level to create entertainment area and to maintain small guest room?
Like the white cabinets and island.
Mainly inspiration photo, but something similarly configured would be awesome. Would be downsized and more modest in our house, but I like the general idea of foyer with stairs up, and doors to sides.
Good example of clean looking foyer with stairs.
Busy looking here, but I would like a foyer with dramatic stairs.
Nice outdoor stairs with metal rail. Could something like this work to lead to front door on second level?
Would be nice to have screened entertaining area off side of house.
Screened porch exterior style is nice.
Nice porch
Sweet porch on main entry.
Nice porch. Is something like this possible on our house?
Great outdoor entertaining space connected to house. Like covered patio with outdoor fireplace. Add an outdoor bar and grill, covered wall for TV, and this would be perfect.
Nice curb appeal
Nice outdoor fireplace, entertaining patio.
Not crazy about this look, but shows general idea of stairs leading to main entry on second level. Appears that roof angle accommodates living space on top floor, without looking too tall.
Like the porch along front, although, this may not work with main entry on second level.
Nice sitting area at front
Really like this front porch design idea, specifically, the round stone siting area with metal railing.
nice entry design. Might work with our house, although stairs would be longer, maybe wrapping back around on both sides.
Don't like style here, too much cement, hodge podge not appealing. However, shows configuration option to put front door on second level with covered front porch. For our house would be brick, with white columns, and more ornate cover.
Nice portico design, although would prefer more covered area to sit.
Not a big fan of overall style of entry, but picture shows general idea of brick stairs with metal rails leading to main entry. Would want more front patio area to sit, and definitely more covered entry with columns to sit. Overall this entry looks too plain. And too overgrown with bushes.
Example of stairs leading to elevated front door.
Like those rounded out windows. Another good example of potential to add room by bumping out to sides.
Roof style might work to accommodate additional floor going up, but with more windows for bedrooms.
Like this porch area to sit in the evening.
Classic look in VA.
Nice, sturdy looking portico. Oval window above looks nice.
Nice roof design. This style might work well to add floor to existing home, without looking too tall.
This is a nice way to add extension to side - matching brick out to side, set back. This would provide additional square footage to accommodate larger garage (additional door, set back), larger bedrooms, and potentially room for new spa style bathroom off main level master bedroom. That would allow current two bathrooms on main floor to be combined for general use.
Room in the corner of yard?
