Here is another "flatter" groin vaulted ceiling that is built in a tray. This could be a concept for the space....
This is huge but notice it is a flatter groin. So perhaps it would work for a foyer without going up in a dramatic angle.
This one has is a mini vault ceiling with almost its own "tray ceiling" section.
Note that the lines start below near the door.
