borisboris's Ideas
Grey Barstools
the color! the wood! the sculpture!
can we do this effect up stair?
too busy but something going up stairs
indian inspired architecture/decor
this feeling but indoors - color mixed with green mixed with stone (this might be Frida Kahlo Casa Azul inspired? which I love but is too busy for even me to live inside without mitigation/neutralization)
hate the mirror (make it more Indian) but this kind of a thing in our entranceway? what about these railings?
this feeling but indoors
I should go to fabindia or some such for fabrics and get this feeling -- clean but modern indian
bright, exposed ceiling stuff
love door. we should move that family room star lamp somewhere else where it's not dwarfed by the size of the room
not our house style but light and bright with pops of color
why did we get such boring vanities? driftwoody for me, grey and clean for boris
big fan of these fairy lights - at some point we should cover the outdoor area (like 2nd floor here) and do this
a look and feeling we both love
OO that rug! ABC home carpet in the city is having an 80% sale because they're closing? but I was so overwhelmed when I was there yesterday I didn't know where to begin...
impractical but I adore this. I wanted to get coffee tables that looked like cut wood like this at one point for the family room, but got derailed, disheartened. also had wanted to get a driftwood mantle...
OMG would kill for a broad Indian swing like that - my grandmother had one outside
crazy about that coffee table. boris would probably hate this room but hey, there is a grey sofa there
just saving this for garden ideas
that tiled wall is so cool - like our downstairs bathroom floor. Why didn't we get a cool colored vanity like that? could we still?
screen and rug! but I wish Indian accessories weren't always put in such dusty or antique-y contexts. CONTEMPORARY INDIAN if that's a thing
not the pillows but that GREEN square is so cool
I have no idea why I like this image but I really do
OMG those lights - but Boris would hate it
Just a note to say how boring our wall going up the stairs is - what can we do with that? My dream would be to have traditional Bengali alpona designs (white on a grey background maybe) painted up the wall but I don't know a. if that would look nuts b. how to do that https://www.pinterest.com/madhumitasen12/bengali-alpona/
??
I don't love it - but might this be the right combo of traditionalish to match the house adn also clean modern not fussy?
too contemporary probably?
I think this is the combination of cozy warm unpretentious (Sayantani) and clean (Boris) - but maybe that's just me liking how much light is in this picture and the exposed brick (which I always love but Boris doesn't)
too broad?
I kinda dig the funky shapes - they look like our outside lights a bit
Is it bonkers to go dark? ie. matching the front door?
the yellow door makes sayantani happy but boris would probably hate it
Sayantani likes the driftwoody feeling
Boris thinks interesting. Sayantani is so-so with it but could be convinced.
Boris likes all the clean and grey
Sayantani likes the wall. Boris = "too dark"
Sayantani likes all the cool hanging lights. Boris thinks they are "weird" :)
cool bathtub
