I have over 200 containers of 4 yr old cuttings of bushes, ground covers, annual & perennial flowers. Using kiddie pools to clump them together into a self watering (when it rains) system saves a lot of time. My rain barrels also help maintain the plants so that ice cold well water is not used. What I love about containers is that I can move them into open gaps in my many in-ground gardens when something is slow to get going. Or cluster them to hide unsightly areas of the yard. Herbs, I don't find easy and barely can grow enough to dry for all of my winter stews, soups. How lucky this homeowner is. Have had every one of her suggested ones die on my several times. Makes me so sad.
