I'm curious about the 3rd example with the knotty pine on part of the exterior. It looks stunning right now, but how will it age? Is the wood treated in some way and, if so, will it have to be stripped and refinished every few years? That would be a big job. Just wondering about the long term for this look.

What color Sherwin Williams blue is the door color on Barbara's city home door? Love it surrounded by the black!

Barbara Miller has a command of color and style. She also clearly can tackle different projects with different approaches that work beautifully. I loved listening to her discussion. Now I need her to move closer to our next home project! Thank you.

As a single mother, my house has become a fixer-upper also in need of curb appeal. It has a large front wooden porch and stairs that are in need of painting. The front garden was just re-done which really helped. Under the porch to the ground are the original slats which are currently white and the windows are trimmed in white paint also. The last porch color was a dark periwinkle type dark blue. Any ideas as to how to improve the look inexpensively? Thank you.

@Dawn @sbool the blue on my small city home front door is Sherwin Williams Indigo Batik SW 7602. This was the first time I used this specific color and I'm so happy with it!!

Would like to know the name and source of the mint green paint and the grey door, on the first (brown) house pictured. Thanks.

The first home I noticed the outside elevation shows one step up to the front door. However the after photo shows 4 steps up to the door. Did you change the elevation as well? That would be a costly venture. I like the fresh airy look of pairing the mint green with white. Nice transformation

I liked the Tiffany color door. Who makes that paint color? Also like black trimmed windows.
