Painting your living room wall starts with choosing a color that complements your space and lighting. Clean the wall thoroughly, repair cracks, and sand rough areas for a smooth finish. Cover floors and furniture to avoid spills. Apply a primer for better paint adhesion, then use even roller strokes from top to bottom. Allow proper drying time and add a second coat if required.

How shall I put this delicately? DON'T DO IT! Wallpaper is a major investment in materials and labor, and not easily changed. Paint can be just as decorative, and is a lot easier to change when you get tired of it. For the difference in price, you could probably refurnish most of your house.
