Could pls provide more details viz - the North-south alignment of the room, what kind of seating u prefer( formal/casual), would u be looking to place a dining table too in the living room area, what would you be using this space for etc?
Hey preeti thank you for your reply, I would like to use the area in frOnt of the kitchen entrance for dinning. That is between wall a and b. How about tv n sofa?Builders point for tv is on wall c that seems not impressive for me. Waiting for reply this time.
Hi, Thanks for the info. I hv a few qtns and suggestions--
Suggestions: 1. Since u wish to hv the dining area right opp. the entrance way to the kitchen, that will put it right opp the main entrance-way too. Hence u shall need to create a transition space opp. the main entranceway to block view of the dining.
2. In my view , a good place to locate the entertainment console/unit wud be on the portion of wall D that is directly opposite Wall C. Your living room seating can be arranged with wall C as a back-drop .(Maybe a L-shaped sectional with the back-less portion toward the balcony doors).
This way, the TV can be viewed from the dining table as well as the living room area.
Questions: Have u considered locating the entrance-way to the kitchen on wall C instead of its current location? That way, the dining table cud be place b/w wall C and D and the living room cud be b/w walls A and B.
Also could u pls provide the exact dimension of wall C?
Are these pictures of ceilings of the actual living/dining space, or hv u posted these as a reference, looking for something similar? A lil confused here....
WRT the transition space, pls check attached pics of a similar space created using a shoe cupboard/ display rack. If there are budget constraints and/or space constraints, then a simple bead curtain can also act as a demarcation device b/w the transition area and the dining/living area.
To answer another one of ur qtns, the backless portion of the L shaped sofa wud be like a chaise lounger.
What kind of opening is there to the balcony? French doors or otherwise?
Well the windows are frenchdoor, Ty for the Suggestion of the transition area partition Ceiling pics are of my neighbors flat like same area of mine. Well i liked the style of those ceilings but it's too loud for me. 1st pic is living room area n 2nd dining area ceiling. U can suggest me the ceiling u like n latest trend. Thankyou preeti
You can go for a floating false ceiling with cove lighting (similar to the pics u have uploaded). Just use neutral LED strip lights instead of any coloured( Viz Blue as used in the pictures).
You can also use textured paint on the ceiling to create more drama.
