Hoping to get some helpful advice/comments from the community here. We just had our windows replaced and are working to complete some exterior upgrades. Both gables in the picture below will be updated with cedar shingle siding. We plan to upgrade the gutters, front door and garage door at this time as well. Roof will remain for a couple of years yet but shall eventually be charcoal/black asphalt instead of cedar as it is now. The big issue for us is the exterior paint colors. We had originally thought to paint the house white (grey-white or cream white) and have the window trim and fascia board match the body of the house with just the black window frames to stand out. Now that we have added stained cedar siding to the gables, I am less confident in how that would look? Am thinking now that a light grey or more neutral tone may look better, with perhaps painting the fascia boards to match the current color on the window trim (white). Any input and suggestions from you kind folks would be much appreciated!
