false ceiling ideas

i have 11 ft high ceiling in my lobby. i want to lower it by atleast a ft at minimum cost. it should go with traditional Indian setting..

Harpreet,

I am not sure why would you want to hide that extra space. Tall ceilings make the space awesome.

Anyways, gypsum false ceiling is an effective way to reduce the ceiling height.

6 inches drop is sufficient for False ceiling
