Library Ladders

Hello,

We have a little 'study' in our new home, and I am dying to make a colonial style study out of it, ceiling-high book shelf, stuffy old armchair and all. The challenge I'm facing is that I'm unable to find a library ladder anywhere online! I mean the kind that runs along a curtain-rod like staff which is attached to the bookshelf, and has roller wheels. Here is a picture for reference (courtesy Alaco Ladder taken off Google).
Any advice on how I can get this made in Bangalore, and how much it would cost?

Any advice would be appreciated!
Thanks in advance for your help.

Regards,
Gargi

    Hello Gargi,

It is difficult to get the exact hardware in India you unless you want to import it .

Alternatively, a similar one can be made with slight changes in the fittings. It may also require the book-shelf to be made accordingly. You would need skilled craftsmen to get it done.

Costing depends on the base material and sliding mechanisms used. You may need to conclude that with your designer.

    Thanks
