wardrobe ??

I bought a house. it has open (cemented with marble shelves) wardrobes which are less in depth for hangers. how to make them deeper? will the whole structure be broken up and rebuilt or depth can be increased by woodwork?

You have to chisel the wall at the back a little bit. I hope this will work.

Sir, we would advise you NOT to go with this. Even suggest to re-think about black and grey theme for the bedroom. It may look good in pictures but they are inherently gloomy and not considered very good for residents. Thanks, Nitin Cornerstone Designs Bangalore

Hello Inderjot, In my opinion painting the bidding in black/grey would make it merge with the laminate. You have some section on the loft that also show the inside laminates, even those may be colored. In case, you want to see how it may look like with black paint/ you may temporarily stick black craft papers on the bidding take a few pics and then decide whether you want to color them or not. Hello Ishiita, There are different materials you can check for - 1) Hdhmr for the structure with 25mm block board for the shutters 2) 18mm thick plywood with .9mm of laminate for the inner structure along with 25mm of shutters

Can a few inches be increased while adding plywood gates to it?

You can't increase the depth of cupboard by just adding plywood doors. You have to apply wood to sides of the cupboard also. Suppose you have a corner cupboard, then either on left or on right side you have to add a wooden plank vertically. In this case the final cupboard will be a few inches out from the wall. It will look a bit awkward.

By doing wood work. You can increase your cupboards up to 1’6”
by adding ply on top off existing cement structure. Laminate can be added to
the ply to your taste.
