Beautiful staircase! Are you looking for something in the area where the wall is slightly arched beneath the stairs? If not can you photo the entry full on and give an idea where you are looking to put some bold statement pieces?

Your wanting something for that wall where the lamps are located?.... It's hard to chime in without seeing the photo shot from the far right of the picture toward them and seeing the floor and what's beyond. What is the wall length?

Try adding a great chandelier, a rug, and a console table with artwork you love over it.

I don't know the width of the space and or your aesthetic.... Yet, seeing the staircase and so on.....here are some lovely tables and ideas you can dress the table as you like I know you know how to and put a giant mirror above the one with nothing above which you will see posted or a large piece of art.

On the photo you posted with the two lamps, the lamps and too much for that small furniture piece, but I can't really see the whole composition. It looks like you have a bit of eclectic touch with the horn and contemporary gold dish but set on a interesting type tray table? So, we can pick up on that type look if you wish. Mainly, I think you need a great chandelier and properly scaled wall hangings and lamps and accessories. What does the floor look like?

Since you want to use the existing marble that you have for a table top for this wall. Are you wanting a table that is already complete and you will change the top? I Just read you have existing material for the table you want to place where the lamps are.

Guess we all need some thoughts from you on what design direction you want. I don't see the antique look for your space but maybe you do? There are several directions this space can take but most important is that it suits you.

You also don't have much in your "Houzz Ideabooks?" Help!

I'd start with the curve of the stairs -- what you put there will determine what you need on this smaller wall. For example, if you put a big round table with a striking lamp and vase, then I'd use the other spot for a lower-key table that holds keys and gloves. If you put a big bench there that follows the wall, with art over it, then you're back to a table and lamp on the smaller wall, etc. These things can't really be taken on piecemeal, and that stair curve tends to be the largest space demanding a presence.

I love the lamps! The marble table will be pretty with the lamps flanking both sides. Find a large piece of art or really tall mirror for above but keep it low behind the lamps.

I personally would not put too much on that curved stair wall. If you do anything, cover it in a wood treatment to make it really stand out & put a couple of chairs & small table. It is so beautiful on its own.

My 2 cents. It will look beautiful no matter what you choose.

I love those chairs @binakay. Agree that doing that wall is key to the space. Diana- /Could you please post the measurement from the French door wall to the start of the curved staircase and again to the deepest part of the curve on the staircase. That will help us give you ideas that will fit. Also, what is the length of the wall where you have the current cabinet and the two lamps? thanks!

OK thanks that along with the photos is very helpful. Have you tried the cabinet on the curved wall? The curve isn't too strong and it might look good tucked in there with one of those lamps on the far end toward the family room or high side of the stairs? That would keep your "walkway" from the front door to the back of the house more open. Then a large piece of art on that wall where the cabinet is now, would be a standout spot, to be viewed from all angles including from upstairs. It looks like that cabinet as it is now, is about 20 deep? That might be worth a try, if you haven't already. You seem like you have a good designer eye, so probably need to follow your own instincts.
