I am assuming you have your carpenters, and additionally you already have a dishwasher, so the best solution for you is to use a step. If it is possible, keep the dishwasher towards the end of the countertop. that way you won't have an awkward rise. Now this is an important point for you to consider, have you finalized the machine and not bought it? if so please exchange it for a built in one another is is your dishwasher old?
