EXHIBITION SPACES: India Design ID 2018

For India Design 2018, K2India styled and designed this exhibition space with an almost androgynous masculinity.

The palette was a monochromatic play of shades of grey and browns. The horizontality of the eight foot long fireplace was offset with the vertical slit of the inset bookcase. Modern see-through partitions on either side, inspired by the works of the artist Mondrian, created a certain visitor curiosity which encouraged them to go around and walk in.

The layering of the grey tones and the tonality of the browns, with splashes of off-whites in the decorative lights, the artwork and the unique stone on the dining table were all players in creating a chic and sexy, yet warm experience of this space.

K2India styled and designed this exhibition space with an almost androgynous masculinity showcasing a theme that explored fluidity of forms, shapes and sizes. This is visible in our line of furniture

The Dining Area and 'Bar' contiguous with The Living Room

The dining armchairs, displayed at the foot and the head of the table, have solid teak wood bases and are upholstered in an elegant, elephant grey velvet.

The concept of 'The Flux Dining Table' stems from the perspective of a creative thinker that wants to push the boundaries of form and style. The base with its contrasting halves and the table top, made from a visually gorgeous oval-shaped Patagonia stone encapsulates this out-of-the box-thinking!

'My Grandfathers Armchair,' a wonderfully comfortable club armchair is constructed in solid teak. The back and the sides of the arms are woven with Malacca cane and the upholstery is in pure distressed-finished leather.

The horizontality of the eight foot long gas fireplace was offset with the slit verticality of the inset bookcases in the granite clad fireplace wall.
