EXHIBITION SPACES: India Design ID 2013
Space conceptualised and Furniture manufactured by Kohelika Kohli of K2India
Thinking Outiside the Box: Kohelika Kohli of K2India at India Design’s first exhibition in 2013 challenged herself by conceptualising and designing a luxury apartment in only 900 sq. ft. This mock/showcase apartment was a very sophisticated amalgamation of space planning, high-quality furniture manufactured in the workshops of K2India, luxurious lighting from all over the world and superb contemporary Indian artworks. It housed a live gas fireplace from Vero Designs of Belgium, and lights from brands like Penta Lights from Suryaveer Kohli Home. Conceptually, every inch of space was made to work aesthetically and functionally in this mock-up apartment.
This showcase apartment place was superbly successful because Kohelika Kohli’s “architecture and interiors display a mature, confident and grounded approach to design, combined with a witty inventiveness, with a strong sense of style” (Inside Outside Magazine April 2013).
