EXHIBITION SPACES: India Design ID 2015

Thinking Outside the Box: Kohelika Kohli of K2India, took on a challenge at India Design ID 2015, and accomplished an almost impossible feat of showcasing, in a 600 sq. ft exhibition space, a stunning 22 ft long solid teak wood log. The showcased space was meticulously crafted and designed to work around this massive block of wood converted into a multi-seater dining table. Over this unique and natural table, subtly designed for multi-functionality, were hung a selection of brilliant Bocci Lights from Lightbox.

In the Study Room, as part of the open window display at the K2India Stall in India Design 2015, the stylish classic contemporary desk, made with a veneered top and solid teak wood legs in an open grain finish, displayed a fresh concept for the traditional working desk.

This was the first impact view for all visitors. The double-sided fireplace had created curiosity. The two different concept arrangements, on either side of the fireplace, apprised the visitor of the excellence within this exhibition stall of K2India.

Above the sofa were hung an evocative selection of professional photographs, showcased for the first time, by Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.

This 600 sq. ft. exhibition space was largely designed as a Dining Room cum Library.

In this Dining Room cum Library, Kohelika Kohli converted a massive 22 ft long solid teak wood log, sourced from Borneo. This dining table is unique and multi-functional and is set on custom-designed mild steel bases.

The massive 22 ft long solid teak wood log was converted, by Kohelika Kohli, into a multi-functional table set on custom-designed mild steel bases. This was complemented with dining chairs made in solid teak wood with open grain finish.

Placed in the centre and at both ends of the table were separate glass sections, subtly designed to make the massive log table more functional for multi-seating dining experiences. Each section showcased a different table setting.

Views of the closed luxurious bar with its meticulously planned details for all bar requirements. Above the bar was another photograph by Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, titled 'Frida'; and a unique bronze sculptured head by Gautam Bhatia.

Opposite the wall-to-wall Library, was the centrally installed gas fireplace from Belgium, flanked by two similarly designed contemporary sideboards.
