A completed residential refurbishment in the heart of St Andrews. A previously unused outbuilding has been now transformed into a new kitchen, seamlessly connected to the living space, and now forming a key part of the house.

By using the property's existing footprint, the project has nearly doubled the usable space on the ground floor. New picture windows and rooflights have maximised natural daylight and a new door opening to the external courtyard encourages greater use of the outdoor space.

We have upgraded the building fabric and retained the existing feature of the outbuilding, giving it a new lease of life. We enjoy seeing how the new materials sits comfortably alongside the original fabric, creating a balanced dialogue between the old and the new.
