Curving Modern

Obviously the most striking feature of this home are the kind of razor edge roof profiles and the fact that those roofs kind of swoop both vertically and horizontally. It is really an evolution of modern design. It uses all of the typical architectural rules of modern home design and just kind of takes it to the next level with the really striking roof forms which serve functions on the exterior. They provide overhangs to provide shade during the warmer months and then create a really unique transition from the single story portion of the home to the second story. And that take form of - in the great room, you see this curving ceiling form above you that transitions from the story and a half great room space up to the second floor and is really a cool, timeless architectural element that kind of has some resonance with classic modern architecture design.

Really open floor plan. The second floor is open to the great room on a balcony space that has a little library in it. This was designed to be on a lake, for a lake home, so all the views are captured out the back of the house and also on the back of the house is a pool with an infinity edge, so when you’re standing from the home looking out across the pool, the water will kind of seamlessly blend into the water in the lake beyond.

A really unique feature is the hot tub that is surrounded by a waterfall. It’s connected to the pool and outdoor living spaces. But really becomes a unique element that your guests are sure to remember, because not only do you get to be outdoors in a hot tub overlooking the lake there’s also this built-in water feature that is really one-of-a-kind.
