When a French family relocated from the U.S. to Kensington, they asked OWN LONDON to transform their outdated six-bedroom townhouse into a light-filled, contemporary home for modern family life. Blending bold design with practicality, OWN LONDON reimagined the four-storey property as a vibrant, functional space for entertaining and daily living.
Highlights include bespoke ceramic lighting, a cleverly divided open-plan living and dining area, and globally sourced handcrafted furniture. Unique touches, like a hidden TV behind embroidered linen, a travertine coffee table, and a hand-
finished brass cocktail bar to reflect the owners' appreciation for detail.
The kitchen and dining area feature banquette seating and framed vintage French menus. Upstairs, sliding pocket doors turn a shared children’s room into two separate spaces. A serene principal suite crowns the home, with a mint green dressing room and skylit marble bathroom.
Outside, the garden offers three purposeful zones, including a stylish guest house doubling as a home office. The project, including planning, façade restoration, and landscaping, was completed in just 11 months.
