This apartment is situated in a High rise building which is about more than 50 years old. The owners have been staying in the apartment for 12 years. Due to an unforeseen circumstance, the apartment had dampness and leaks which invited termites and destroyed the apartment interiors slowly. The owners finally decided to get their home re-designed taking preventive action against termites so they wouldn't face again.

This residential apartment of size 2800 sq.ft is designed for a family of six with a vast collection of Art they own to display. The brief had stated to be a white and cream colour palette and a maintenance-free home.
Each room was given colour codes to design as per Vastu Shastra The traditional system of Vaastu Shastra serves as India's version of Feng Shui, influencing town planning, architecture, and ergonomics which the lady of the house believed in.
A single cream colour tone marble flooring was mentioned to be used throughout the entire apartment.
Each wall space was required to design in a way for additional storing purpose.

The idea was to create a canvas where all the art could be displayed on crisp white walls in the living area, dining area, and a couple of bedrooms, with contrast colour paneled walls in the passage, and the other bedrooms.
This would enable each bedroom to speak its own story with the art and decor. Each painting and figurine exhibits its own subtle and bold characteristics. #BestOfHouzz
