Aman Houdi
The project involved a renovation and reinterpretation of the area inside the shikar houdi as well as a 4-acre area surrounding it. The belief was to abstract memories of the site, to build paradigms that heighten the relationship between the old and the new, to recreate the place whilst having a sense of nostalgia, thus ultimately being authentic to the site.
Luxury is infused into the projects through authenticity of age-old materials, traditional craft & workmanship to create new meanings and new conversations.
Deriving inspiration from the Architecture, Values & Culture that are native to the region.
For example-
The age-old double facade structures of Rajasthan (which performs multiple functions like passive cooling, privacy)
'Purdah' System (not giving away the story) in this case- providing a surprise element to the guests -designing the site in such a manner that the interest to explore the site is piqued.
