The kitchen is the heart of the home. It often comes with many vivid memories and experiences. So when we were asked to propose a facelift to an existing kitchen we went back to the basics and assumed as if it were a new property. The most important of all for a well-functioning kitchen is the planning of the hob, the refrigerator and pantry, and the sink, the golden triangle. Although we had a few issues considering existing site parameters and Vaastu prescriptions, what we ended up with was a fresh new take that could marry into the rest of the home. Muted pastels are complimented with a bold patterned tile and a jaali partition inspired by the many portals of the city.
