This intriguing project came about unexpectedly. We had long desired to design and build an A-frame structure when we were approached by a client who had established a resort in Cherrapunji, where we were staying.

During our discussions, he expressed a need for a cottage design that was both aesthetically pleasing and quick to construct. Remarkably, we developed the concept designs within two hours, secured the project immediately, and, after three months of working with locally available materials and gaining an understanding of the regional typology, we spent four months on-site to bring the structure to life.
