Waterfront

As the name suggests, the house is right at the Versova beach. This 900 sqft 2 Bedroom Apartment is the temporary home for the couple and their 4 year old daughter. The apartment is housed in a 25+ year old building and required complete remodelling. Our clients reached out to us to break down the apartment and redo it completely. The idea was to let all the natural light come in seamlessly and bring in the brightness and warmth to the apartment. We have used neutral color palette across the house.

“The lightness and the contemporary minimalistic nature of the space are what we want to achieve in compact homes”. The 950 sq ft apartment in Versova West houses a living room, kitchen, dining area, a primary bedroom, powder bathroom and a lounge/guest bedroom. Conceptualised and executed to perfection, this home can only be described as Warm Luxury.

Living with a view!
The theme of the home is Minimal with Monochrome. The ultimate aim is to keep the space as illuminated as possible, with bright sunlight coming in from all sides. The living, the primary bedroom and the guest bedroom are all sea-facing.
Pastels
The living room exhibits complementary textures in the form of colourful cushions and throw by Nicobar and H&M, black and white console with PU Finish.
A touch of green
Black n White!
The grooved wall finish acts as a sublime backdrop for the solid wood dining table and chairs from a local vendor. There is a powder bathroom behind the dining area. The lounge/guest bedroom is on the left of the dining area, right next to the living room. A passage from the dining area leads...
How about Dinner?
The Family room with a sofa cum bed, a sliding opening partition and completely pastel gives calmness and serenity to the whole house.
Is it too much!
The discerning furnished rooms radiate understated elegance and integrate plenty of discreetly carved out storage spaces, preventing the interiors from appearing compact.
White on White
The grey straight lined Dresser cum study with the adjoining TV Unit in the Master Bedroom against the wooden flooring stands out perfectly.
Strips & Stripes
The material palette of the home includes wooden flooring, PU paint, fluted glass in the wardrobes, and linens and cotton, amplified by the green planters and natural light throughout the home.
Ribbed
The Lounge chair in the Master Bedroom corner is to unwind, read a book or have a drink. It is the best corner of the house and a very close place to the client.
Close to me!
The use of custom furniture allowed the play with scale and proportion in a way that not an inch of space was wasted, and every saved space contributed to the openness of the house.
Relax and Unwind
The kitchen was the most demanding area as we had to fit a fully functional kitchen in the tiny space. It is a blend of materials with a quartz countertop and laminate shutters along with a tiles backsplash and flooring.
Clean look
The bathroom follows the established material palette of a quartz countertop with a wood finish laminate for under the counter storage unit paired with tiles backsplash and flooring
Master Bathroom
The powder bathroom had a wooden and grey color palette. It was a little different than the pastels used in the complete house. We wanted to make it look warm and standing out at the same time.
Wood and Grey
The wooden tiled balcony doubles up as a serene spot in the home with a rustic rug, plant stand and stylish chair from Ikea. The pleasing plants are from Sparrow Design
