Vibrant Abode

The owners wanted a design which was spacious and functionally active at all ends, to cater the needs of the big joint family. The design needed to be such that it could amend all the basic needs of family members but at the same time spill luxurious end of living.

Few changes were made in the original layout pattern of the house. The vestibule was increased by removing part of a wall which was dividing it from living room. Also entry to the toilet on parent’s bedroom was also shifted to support the design, and create an easy passage. This shift helped in creating space for drawing room, which further resulted in providing more privacy in living room.
Another change was done at the junction of three bedrooms, there was originally a small offset to provide a little privacy for general toilet, However it disturbed the space and made it a gloomy corner, Therefore was removed and provided at corner; increasing the space.

We were perfectly able to blend the cubism theme along with the furniture and space requirements of the house. Also yellow being a vibrant color it was a crafty task to implement it with the surrounding spaces, not to make it too loud but just perfect enough to highlight some areas. This theme is breached by few shades of grey and blue along with different complimentary colors.

The most interesting space of the house is drawing and living area as both of them have been perfectly balanced by dividing the two spaces, not just with custom made wooden jali based on cubism but also the color selection. Both yellow and blue are used in the area are complimenting to each other and the monotony of the colors is breached through the other color of the adjacent area. The perfectly placed all decorative, opposite shade cushion, chairs and use of art work is on point, as we had wanted or imagined to achieve.
