Materials are narrative tools natural stone for its provenance, timber for its grain and patina, handmade tiles and woven textiles for the imprint of human touch. Choices are guided by a space’s function, climate, and the way people inhabit it: lime plaster for breathability, terrazzo for quiet elegance, uncoated wood for graceful aging, tactile fabrics over glossy finishes.

Restraint is key one or two tactile stories lead, allowing clarity. Imperfections like knots in wood or marble veins are celebrated as signs of life. Local materials such as Indian black stone, Kota, teak, cane, and terracotta root each project in place while reducing environmental impact.
