City homes are notorious for their lack of space & are mostly up to the architect to make the most of what’s available. We took up the daunting task of designing the bungalow. The surrounding landscape in city where hot summers and arid winters are constant reminders of desert that is always trying to reclaim it. The house stands out from its surrounding houses of old style thus bringing out the diversity among the context of the area. The result is subtle, yet certain triumph of creativity, which has set an example for the other homes of the architecture community of the city.

Considering Ahmadabad’s harsh climate, the landscaping had to be done with utmost care. Larger trees have been planted along the compound wall to ensure privacy while the lawn is full of several varieties of potted plants and palms, which gives it the cool, leafy freshness of a forest.
