Being a massive area our concept was to break down the space into smaller and warmer pockets for socializing, relaxing, dining and entrance. The uniqueness lies in how these smaller pockets spaces are connected visually adding layers of experiences. Angled forms and a tilted layout make the spaces dynamic and interesting for the users.
To achieve this we designed two interconnected angled walls with a seating that define an entrance lobby and also provide privacy to the dining area behind. A part of the living area was enclosed to create a mandir. We designed a modern mandir with full height paneled doors in wood and acrylic. The pattern on these doors forms the sacred symbol Swastik that comes to life as soon as the mandir lights are switched on, as the diffused light filters through the translucent acrylic.
The living area is divided into two formal seating areas that overlook the dining and bar. The apartment also comprises of four more rooms, a home theatre, and a study. All these spaces follow a neutral pallet with a touch of accent.
