HOUSE DYUTHI

House Dyuthi evokes a bohemian aesthetic essence in terms of having a base colour for each space, low height furniture, flooring patterns and abundance of indoor plants. Indoor plants help to reduce the stress level and keeping a clean indoor air by absorbing toxins. Bedrooms have inbuilt bed coat with storage units, side table, wardrobe and mirror unit that follow a base colour and consistent wooden finish.

Bedroom follows Carribean Green as its base colour, bay window was tilted away from the front gate of the plot to attain a certain degree of privacy.

Living Area has inbuilt seating with windows on its edges to get natural lighting and ventilation and drawings below for storage. Base colour Sahara Sunset gives a bold and lively touch to the living. Exposed brick backdrop is accessorised with modern acrylic art piece illumined by skylight above.

Bedroom extends to shaded balcony with vertical railing overlooking the approach road. Space becomes a morning spot to read and enjoy the sunrise.

Double height dining area becomes the heart of the house, positioned between central court and Green niche with a visual connection to patio. space has a certain warmth imparted from exposed brick wall, customised lighting and furniture.

Built spaces are placed under climate sensitive sloping roofs to provide shade and protection from heavy monsoon rains. Perforated Corten steel, exposed brick walls and projecting balcony create a distinct facade.

At night Corten steel facade shimmers in its own indoor lighting giving a surreal impression to the house.

Staircase acts as a buffer between living and dining areas. First flight of stairs are made of palm wood panels on metal frame work.
