Simple designs are the most difficult to create. When I was approached to design a get-away place tucked away in the mystical rain forest of Sakleshpur, my eyes lit up with a childish gleam. I was immediately lost in my world of ideas and images. Full marks to the clients for saying Go wild with the design and I just want a hideout which is unique and suits the views and slopes of the site. First thoughts were to create a building with rustic charm jungle retreat as context, when and I saw the site and I thought about it I was convinced the site had no context other the slopes, valley views and mountain at a distance peeking through the trees. Hence and a building that’s suits the contexts and to maximizes the views ad creates a hideout.
