Basement Transformation

Creating the perfect space begins with the perfect plan. Visualizing the space in 3D really helped these clients imagine their space before the renovation even began. This basement transformation went from gloomy to roomy as we opened up their existing space to create a the perfect entertaining area complete with a games room area , TV sitting area and a bar.

A new vinyl plank flooring was installed to look like wood. Custom cabinetry was created for the bar and TV areas. The new open concept area feels larger and inviting. Perfect for entertaining!

Architecture detailed columns hide the teleposts and add character to the new space. A cork board covers the door adding to the games room area.

Brick detailing adds charm to the bar and TV area. A comfy sectional sofa is inviting for TV viewing. Clients own photography adds art to the walls. The new hall on the left leads you to the new powder room discretely located away from the games area.

Red fabric on the pool table adds both fun and JOY to this space. All window covered in shutters adds to the architectural detail of the wainscoting. The new colour scheme for the walls is bright and cheerful.

A new handrail and pickets replaced the solid half wall to the basement adding to the open concept feel of this new basement space.

A bird's eye view showcases the changes in the proposed plan. The existing bathroom was moved from the bottom left corner of this basement to the top right. This new space is much more private and allowed the space for a games area.

This walk-out basement was very dated and although there is a large patio door, the space was dark and gloomy.

The drop ceiling and pot lights showed the age of the decor. The furniture layout did not allow them space for the games area that they wanted. The powder room was relocated, the interior wall was moved back and a new ceiling and new pot lights were installed.
