Rookie mistake, but you won't make it again! The height from bottom of table apron to the floor is always important. If that distance is too short it can also mean that people sitting on standard height chairs can't cross their legs. I made that mistake once ... no longer have that table!
I don't love the chairs, even if they did fit under the table, so I vote to re-sell them.
What furniture do you have in your living room? Do these chairs complement that furniture?
I would just sell them, if possible, hopefully you can recoup some $. I don’t think they look good with your table even if they were sized right.
I painted a swatch of one shade lighter on the same paint strip than the middle color on the bottom that we all liked. The other picture was 9 AM in the morning with only sunlight.. this picture is 6 PM with evening light with Windows facing east as well as overhead lights on.
Is it really worth the expense to move the shower to the other side? Remove some of walls around toilet and put a door between bedroom and bathroom. You mentioned having no door between bedroom and bathroom makes bedroom look bigger however the majority of the time the door will be open. You currently are using shower and bath with no door, so add a door and close it when using toilet.

I like those swinging doors! I was thinking about having the option to keep a separation between the toilet and sinks for sanitary reasons , even if only a half wall. Cleaning a cupboard side with harsher cleaners does definitely degrade it more. Maybe I attack it with too much gusto. Ha ha
Whatever you do, no waterfall! Just finished end panels on the exposed island sides. No angled island either.

No need to follow the crowds or trends! Are you also remodeling the rest of the house, interior and exterior, to appear contemporary? If you aren't, then you should be looking at transitional designs, so you don't have a glaring design discrepancy with a too modern kitchen inside a house that still looks "Tuscan" on the outside.
I think the green may make your cabinets look more orange.
definitely move to a color for the splash. Here's a few versions...I like the square tile with traditional cabinets as in the first....even the pale teal as in the 3rd image would be better than the pale whites/grays etc. Your cabinet color needs counterpoint color , alongside .
I agree with the others that some color in the space would be fabulous.
You get light into the space with undercabinet lighting. You can get flat LED lights that plug into an outlet - simple DIY improvement.
BTW, if you don't know for sure that the mold is completely gone and the humidity is controlled, I would postpone spending big bucks on high quality furniture. The wood on a $3000 Noguchi coffee table is not the place to discover a mold problem has returned. Better to choose some inexpensive lightly used furniture, say, from Facebook Marketplace, until you are sure the humidity is acceptable.
With 3 windows so close together, the zebra blinds are a lot of stripes IMO. Try to find some drapes that you can order samples-Two Pages offers sample books for example. Even if you don't use them, you can find a color family that works with your walls and couch as a start. Is this the new paint color?
You can get blinds that are not the zebra.
If you and family love it, why do you care what your friends think? And, if you think you are having issues with your friends’ opinions- I am not sure that you are going to have a better time here...
I would just say: if you want the kitchen to be more visually pleasing to more people, paint the black uppers to match the hood. If your friends don’t like it then- get new friends. :)
Btw, my Father used to say, “If you have one good friend in life, you are fortunate.”
I'll assume you did a reno because you have no plans to move in the near future. If the move is ten years up the road? You will have a ten year old kitchen , that even you may not love as much as the day you did it! Ten years is an EON in design, and styles/flavors come at us in speed of light mode. You don't remodel solely for house value, no one has a crystal ball, and if you and family are thrilled, you don't undermine the happy factor. Pause please? Make certain you want to proceed?.................Yes? No?
That said, and as your designer? I would have edited pared down ,your wish list.. A great design doesn't need a ton of ideas. Does not need one from column a, one from b method.

I'd have been a no on the upper mix of paint/wood. There are instances where the look works beautifully, but it doesn't work everywhere.
The cabinets immediately right of fridge would be oak and end in the corner..
The two( narrow dark blue) flanking the hood? No.......GONE. too crowded and they ruin the focal point you clearly wanted. Glass doors are always a "discipline" challenge. In real kitchen life. they need to be very curated, endlessly neat, and tell a "story".
The hood and range were the focal point you wanted, with breathing room.
Lights,,flanking hood: With the cabinets, too bulky. Even without cabinets ....a bit heavy and your hood HAS a light, rendering these, an idea that can work beautifully as accent decor.....not meant for your available space. I probably would have a bit lighter feel on the hardware for lower drawers .

"Decor" .....don't add, reduce. You can BUY a cutting board for sink side? That is a permanent cutting surface, yes? In this application, it is disruptive. What is happening for doors at the pantry/canning /coffee area?

But you asked. My post is a bit of a cautionary tale for others, and is opinion only. Perhaps you have some jealous friends, always a possibility. Maybe you have "friends" who are not ?

Beat me up as you will.: ) I think even you could have loved it just as much with some editing.
Individual elements are lovely, but as a whole, it honestly should have had quite a bit of editing. An arch, a beam, a niche, high contrast hardware, a commercial faucet, a statement hood, an accent stone and shelf at the range, two colors for cabinetry plus the hood color, and glass front display cabinetry.
If you like it and it functions for your family, then that's what matters most. Maybe your friends aren't into bling and are more the "take off one piece of jewelry" people so don't expect validation from them.
