Violet was never cozy with Ollie, here. Maybe it was the move, but my friend said she always bossed him, and he was always prone to hiding from her. He likely had stress for years…some anxiety. I never had that experience in a multiple cat household of mine…territorial interactions. I guess it is normal, but it’s a pain to deal with. He is still in his bed at the top of the stairs, but burial will be this afternoon. The sister of the previous deceased owner sent $500 to my bank account, half of the total vet costs of $1000…which I had told her about. This is good news as it means I can get through the rest of the month!

This Drama piece in nine short sections, was a little over an hour monologue, done by an actor in his 70s who has spent a lifetime acting. He wrote this piece in which he plays two characters. One of them is Carl Jung, and the other is himself, reflecting on his life as an actor. He did a wide range come up from the Stratford festival to a sitcom in Hollywood, to New York Theatre, Africa, and the final four years touring with Cirque du Soleil in Europe. The two characters he played, himself and the famous Carl Jung, intertwined as his personal life was also deeply connected to a Jungian world view… it was a deeply personal and moving exploration of one man’s journey through a lifetime on the stage, exploring the meaning and synchronicities of his life. Profound. I feel extremely lucky to have witnessed such a personal exploration done on a deep level, presented with sensitivity, humor, and relevance to our times as well.

Heading to do laundry today. A lot of it. I went past a week. I have to do blankets too, but I’m leaving it for another day.

I came out the doctor’s office with referral to a consultation with a rheumatologist and physical therapy.

I am surprised.

I told him whatever caused the aches and fatigue was finally beginning to get better, but it’s left my back and neck worse for wear. (You should see me in the morning. I can’t stand up straight for a good long while)

Since June, when I first went, I’ve forced myself to do the daily morning yoga. I can’t do what I used to do. I know as sure as I’m sitting here I’d be even stiffer if I hadn’t kept at it.

I requested the physical therapy. He recommended the rheumatologist.

By some stroke of luck, there was a cancellation, and I have an appointment with her on Monday morning. I had been checking other locations and seeing earliest appointments in January and February!

Glassy, instead of lined jeans, try cuddlduds long johns under them. That is what I do. They are thin, soft and silky and jeans slide right on over them. They make a great warm first layer, and the plus side is, you don't need to buy lined jeans, just use the jeans you have!

At Target, for example:

Already loving it. It smells great, like fresh cut wood. The brick foundation is all repaired and looks great. The height at the window wall is normal now, so Otherhalf can stand up straight all the way around. LOL I can't wait for a roof! It's gonna be surreal to have a space out there that isn't a sopping wet hot house.

Duckie, that’s not such a crazy idea! We could also ride off into the sunset in it….
Yeah, don’t need much any more.

OB’s brother’s condition is dire due to the meds he’s on, at least we hope. The new pancreatic drug should remove some offenders. He’s incapable at present to even stand. Very thin and gray. We have discussed getting married (his friend can do it) first then do something bigger later. I don’t want to plan anything with a caterer yet as lots of money goes upfront, plus we can’t seem to find a day where all works. I’d rather do quick as soon as his brother is capable and then plan something bigger toward next Spring. We can do another ceremony (in the Catholic Church as a blessing), invite people, and then do the party. This gives us the freedom to gauge whats going on because, yeah, having a death right as we’re about to get hitched isn’t so swell. Both the church and the venue we’re using aren’t solidly booked. It’s time I go back to my church. Hubby was very much involved in it and the last time I was there was for his funeral. I’ve tried other churches but with thinking what to do with OB has brought to my attention that’s where I belong and it’s comfortable….enough time has passed. OB was baptized there, too.
