Very pretty bloom. No daylilies blooming here just the other perennials which provides a nice contrast.

Nice bloom to end the season. It certainly performed well. Very hot here with triple digit feel like temps all week. A cool down next week-temps will still be in 90s but nights will dip into 60s so some garden work can be done.

I'm glad you all liked the Dancing Flamingo. That photo was taken when we had three really cool days in a row with highs only in the low high 70s or low 80s. I could use a few more days like that. This week we'll be going up in the 90s again. I hope we get fall-like temps later in September.

We too have had quite a large amount of rain, and this past week was the first time all summer we didn't need to mow. We too could have used twice a week mowing for a while but didn't. Back to it this week, though, as the grass is seeding.

I especially like She's Like A Rainbow and The Gift of Giving. Really nice colors and forms. Southern Shriner is nice too.

I am down to 2 daylilies, VT Autumn Fire and my seedling So Lovely x VT Rose Rosy that I posted elsewhere.

I look forward to seeing King Bee in your posts. Yes, I never watered the daylilies this year. But we have had some beastly hot stretches. The mosquitos and chiggers are horrible. Near-record precipitation in August. September has been above normal temps, but I hear that in 9 days, it will be in the seventies. Update: it will be in the seventies on Monday, but quickly go back to upper eighties.

Amazing scapes on those seedlings! Congrats on completing your splitting and moving. I've started planting daylilies I've had in pots since last year, But so far I only have three in the ground - 28 more in pots. I doubt that I'll get them all planted. This week it's in the mid-90s here and I'm sick, so no planting until next week.

I guess all that rain you got earlier is paying off for rebloom now. Enjoy it will it lasts.

Julia, I have had turtleheadin my garden for at least 10 years. One clump is in shade and not as vigorous. The other gets several hours of sun and does better. They are both in spots that are the last to get dried out.

Your late bloomers look wonderful! Olfactory Evidence is my favorite. Dancing Flamingo started reblooming here this week, but it was so hot I didn't want to go out to photograph it. Nothing is blooming here today except my Bluebird asters and Sweet Autumn Clematis.

Wild Cherry wine and Salty Skipper are both lovely and that is a wonderful clump of Salty Skipper. I also like These Foolish Things.
