Get the newer LED continuous "rope/string". No pin-point reflections on the counters. The light needs to be put at the front, so you are lighting the work surface, not the backsplash.

Plugmold in the back and under cabinet light in the front. Light rail to cover up the lights and a finished skin/panel that matches the cabinet color to make the underside pretty.

My recessed light are 3500K so I made sure the electrician ordered the 3500K under cabinet version.

We are renovating our kitchen, and I wanted to get both MW and Breville off the counter if possible. From searching online, it appears that I can achieve this goal with a GE Advantium oven and be very happy with the results. I do expect a bit of a learning curve. I will probably buy the Cafe combo with the lower oven. I do understand that the combo only comes in the 120v vs the 240v of a standalone Advantium, but I’m OK with the fact that my chicken will only cook 4 times as fast instead of 8 times as fast. 😊

We had two separate units from Bosch 800 series - electric oven and speed oven. The speed oven started to have issues 2 years in. eventually we replaced it, with regular microwave. From my experience, I would not recommend Bosch speed oven. Their customer service is not good, I also saw others complaining about the same issues I had with the unit. I also ended up not using the speed oven that much even when it was working correctly. It could be just me. If I had to do all over again, I probably would choose 'steam oven' . Having separate units made it easy to replace the speed oven. If an appliance has multiple functions the chances of it breaking is much higher. If you still go with combo unit, make sure to get extended warranty.
