That is a shame about your sister getting hacked. Even though she was hacked, if you didn't click on any link in her bogus email, you should've been okay. If it looks suspicious, you should compose a new email to her or call to verify that she sent it. Reading it should not cause any harm.
The basement is filling up, but I still have a ways to go. Since I had chemo on Monday, I didn't do a lot of work outdoors. I started to repot a cane from a cheap plastic (square Jiffy tray) to a proper clay pot (heavy, but it was at hand) when the doorbell rang. I thought it was my wife coming home after her walk with Rufus. But, she should have been able to unlock the door with our code. So, I walked upstairs and was pleasantly surprised that a big FedEx truck was parked on the street near our mailbox. I had ordered over $3,000 worth of camera gear and it was supposed to come in today instead of yesterday. I signed for it (he was filling out a message that they tried to deliver) and thanked him for the delivery. Two hours later we got a second surprise - my generic EGO batteries had come in nearly a week early. Then a third delivery that had us baffled as we hadn't ordered anything else. My sister in KY sent us a "care package". That was weird.
It sounds like you are having a busy week with all the appointments. I get my chemo pump removed this afternoon so I can feel free to do more outdoor things and take a shower. HAHA!
The only leaves we pick up are the ones we mow in the front yard (mostly from our neighbor's maple trees). The ones in the back can lay there all winter as far as I am concerned.
I have no idea where abscission come from and if they are somewhat related to scissors and abscess. Abscess usually denotes a major infection in the body, right?
I always refrained from the flowering anthuriums as they seemed a bit lewd. HA! Now I see some beauty in them, especially after seeing much larger ones in S. America where they originated. I wonder why we aren't seeing those in the stores here?
I would suggest you get a Mexican Hydrangea and keep it in a pot OFF the ground. You can winter them over indoors (keep them somewhat moist) and move them out in spring. Never ever let them sit on top of the ground without a saucer since they readily root into the ground from the drainage holes. Beautiful to look at, easy care, but horrible invasive plants.
Here is the cane I was ready to put in a new pot of fresh soil when the doorbell rang yesterday.
Kind of ugly after spending all summer outdoors under a lot of shade. I will go back and find a picture of it indoors last year.

the 3 products - a space age monopod with a fluid video head, a magnetic filter kit, and a big zoom lens.
closed down to 200mm
racked out to 800mm
3 pieces to the monopod - head, monopod, feet
I can add small parts at the handle (smart phone, small monitors, etc.)
fully extended (a press of the handle (above photo) will extend and contract the height)
the video head will take some time to learn all of its movements and quirks
the bag is okay, but it should've had more padding in it.
the two generic EGO batteries (around $200 for both while an OEM battery is around $500 for one)
