“Dena was an 'unexpected find' in our search for interior design help! We renovated a 13 room home over the course of four years and when it finally came time to select paints and furnish our home (the FUN part) our goal was to do it once and do it right....fabulous and cost effective from the start. Dena spent a lot of time talking to us about our lifestyles before diving into any decorating discussions. She visited our home as construction was winding down and continued to work with us in our home to accomplish our goals. Dena was responsible for the paint schedule, floorplans and furniture styles/fabrics. The first thing she did was view our existing furnishings to repurpose what we could...and we did some of that...she gave us ideas that we never would have thought about. We then moved on to the paint schedule...I know more about ceiling paint and how important it is than I ever imagined. As our painting contractor moved through the house, Dena started matching - more specifically - our feedback (likes and dislikes) to floor plans. We had ample time to review her plan suggestions with the completed interior painting to narrow our selections. We worked cooperatively with Dena to pull fabric choices and had ample opportunity to bring samples home and "live with them" before making choices. We worked one area at a time - got that right - and then moved on to another area. We did not feel overwhelmed, rushed and felt all along that we were getting what we truly wanted. Dena is cost effective...and cost is only part of the equation. We interviewed other designers/decorators and, though highly recommended, were not the correct fit. They neither had Dena's level of expertise nor were they comfortably affordable. We spent 18 months with Dena furnishing our home and today there is not one thing that we would change! Our home is comfortable for us every single day - most important - and for guests when the occasion arises. We chose quality first and continue to be pleased. Dena is professional, knowledgeable and flexible at all times. Dena was the 'unexpected find' that was crucial in completing our 'forever home'.”

“Our introduction to Knight Kitchens and Ed Stoehr was quite fortuitous we quite unexpectedly attended a home improvement show at the Nassau Coliseum on Long Island in anticipation of a complete renovation of an older home that we had recently purchased. The concept of having a kitchen designed and fabricated in Vermont so far from this home was not appealing but we were so impressed with the show model and Ed's attitude that we figured it was looking into. The results were nothing short of outstanding at every level of our contact with Ed. His design instincts were superb and his attitude and professionalism in working with our contractor from such a distance was remarkable. Our original intentions were just to purchase kitchen cabinetry but we ended up having Knight fabricate built-ins for our den and bathroom vanities after we were unhappy with the cost of local options. In each case, the cabinets were exceptionally well constructed in cherry wood with high quality hardware. The finishes were elegant and we regularly receive the highest of compliments on the beauty of the project. This was all done within some challenging time frames. Not to be missed is the fact that the cost of the cabinets according to our well experienced installer were in his opinion "about half of what it would have cost on Long Island". We could not be happier about our decision.”
