“The first time I worked with Century Stair Company was back in June 2010. I was working on a project with a very challenging stair layout, with multiple transitions from radius to straight. The previous company I was working with was clueless on how to build this type of stair. I contacted Century Stair and they worked with me on the design of the stair system and helped with a plan of installing the stair and balcony section so everything would come together properly. “Colao Stone & Design designed and installed two stone patios (one with a two foot semi-circle stone wall) and a full deck, complete landscaping and outdoor LED lighting. Colao acted as general contractor for the deck project and lighting, but performed all services relating to patios and landscaping. The stone wall contains a section that is capable of being expanded to include a fireplace in the future.It could not have gone smoother. Colao's principal designer, JR, designed the entire project, taking into account all of our needs and he helped us to envision the entire project using the latest technology and printouts. The quality of the stone and the construction of the patios and the wall was first rate. And they used a terrific subcontractor who constructed our deck using wood and composite decking materials that will likely outlast the house itself. It's a solid construction all around (you have only to walk on it to feel how solid it is). The lighting was designed for flexibility, so that we could add on over time; we've taken advantage of that and have installed additional LED lighting since the project was completed in 2010. The landscaping was done in a very professional manner and we've lost very few plantings since installation. Everything has grown in quite nicely and the whole side patio is just a very pleasant place to spend time. Joe Colao and JR were the nicest folks to deal with; they were always responsive to questions, they always answered their phones when we called them, and they solved any problems when they arose. All in all, it was the best experience that we have ever had with a contractor...and we've had quite a few experiences over the sixteen years that we've lived in this home. I would recommend Joe and JR to anyone who is looking for quality construction and outstanding service.”

From initial visit to finish we were impressed with the time, effort and first class workmanship put into this. Every step was accounted for and our installed cabinet was finished on time and budget. “My wife and I selected Michael Nash from among five separate bids for a considerable renovation and expansion of our home. Michael Nash was the second lowest bidder, but our confidence in Sonny Nazemin’s eye for design and considerable number of award-winning designs was crucial in our initial selection. We have a grand house in Reston built in the late 1960s. It has solid bones but really needed a whole house renovation. We also needed more space to house our extended family. Our project consisted of a new two-car garage, siding, roofing and a totally new floor consisting of a master suite and bathroom. From the start of the project I was impressed with the one price upfront to complete the project. Sonny navigated our plans through the difficult process of approval by our local Design Review Board. His personal attention and negotiation with the board led to the rapid approval of our project. Follow on work for our front porch and driveway was reasonably priced. When we requested a re-design of the ceilings for the master suite, Sonny spared no expense hiring several architects to arrive at the design we desired. His vision throughout the project ensured its success. ******************* EXTRA FOLLOW-ON WORK COMPLETED jANUARY 25, 2014 *********************** We gave Michael Nash extra follow-on work with our kitchen because we were so pleased with how our Master Suite and other work turned out. We told Sonny that we had a limited budget but wanted to get as much of the kitchen done as possible. He suggested that we keep our old cabinets and redo everything else. Sonny has a great eye for design and suggested that we take out some cabinets to open up the room. He helped us with color choices that made the kitchen modern and bright. They replaced the oven, the hood, the induction cooktop, the counter, the floor, the sink, repaired and replaced doors, painted the room and put in a new lighting system with ten canned lights. Michael Nash kept to a timetable except for the hood at the end, which was really unavoidable. We are thrilled with our new kitchen and recommend Michael Nash to our neighbors and friends.”

“I highly recommend Vintage Wood Floors & Stairs. I hired Vintage to re-stain my banisters and replace the balusters with wrought iron. The Owner, Mr. Morello, was very responsive and explained the process to me. He provided a detailed explanation of the project, including options and gave me a formal quote within hours. Vintage arrived on time and protected my flooring and carpeting while they worked. At the end of each day, they ensured the area was vacuumed before departing. The final project turned out better than I expected. I would absolutely recommend Vintage for any project.”

“We hired SparkWise Electric (they recently changed their name from Max Electric) for two separate jobs, both of which were completed on time and at a reasonable price. Emerson did some needed kitchen rewiring & then hooked up our new electric/induction range (which required rewiring for 240v). And George Z. likewise did a great job installing our new home EV charging station--again, requiring electrical work that we could hardly do ourselves. Actually, that work required a city permit, but that process was smooth, and included a follow-up inspection a week or two afterwards, with George accompanying a city inspector just to make sure everything is indeed up to code and fine. We can definitely recommend these guys for any kind of home electrical job.”
