David N. Brush Landscape Architecture

David is very accommodating and quite competent. More importantly he never stopped wanting to ensure my satisfaction. His design translated into a beautiful living space which we are enjoying today. The project took longer than we had expected and we did have few point in the process where we needed better communication but the fact is I would hire him again and that is the best measure I can offer.

My experience with David, was exceptional. As a person who has a hard time visualizing blueprints and imaging what things will look like, we gave David complete freedom to map out a plan that he would be proud of, and that he thought we would enjoy. All I can say is WOW! The small details, that we would have never thought to consider, from arches to landscape lighting placement, truly brought everything together. We spent our first night outside in our new space last week, and I felt like I was in a cabin in the North Carolina mountains. It was a true joy! David was on site as needed, always had his finger on the pulse of the project, and communicated his expectations with the builders clearly. Because his name is on the project, he makes certain that any issues that arise during the building process, are cleared up early, freeing the homeowner from uncomfortable conversations with the builders. I cannot offer a higher recommendation for David N. Brush Landscape Architecture, and am proud to call him friend.

David is very professional and friendly. He created a great plan for us in several phases to work with our budget. We have started phase one and are very pleased. We had one little change to our plan and David explained why he did it, but was gracious when we decided to make the slight change. David is in demand and stays busy, but was responsive to all our questions when we needed answers.

We first hired David in 2007 when we built our house. He designed our driveway and hardscape and did an awesome job. We were so happy with his work that we again hired him to renovate our pool in early 2016 The pool was originally built in the 1960s. David designed a complete renovation of the pool, a new spa, a new cabana by the pool, as well as all related hardscape and plantings (before and after pictures of our project are included with this review). He also recommended and worked with the contractors we used from beginning to end. Not only did David have great vision, but he was also very conscientious and personally invested himself to get the best end-result possible. He is a real pleasure to work with, he is able to recommend the very best contractors to do the work (who he works with extremely well), and is basically just a great person. He is also very conscientious of his fee arrangements and contractor costs in order to give his clients the most bang for their buck. In short, we could not be happier with the work that David did for us, his professionalism, and his attention and commitment to making sure we got the end-product we wanted. Our family will owe David for years to come for the great job he did for us!!.

David was a pleasure to work with. He designed a plan for an outdoor living space at our home that turned out better than we could have imagined. He was very open to our ideas and did a great job taking input from us and incorporating it into his plans. David effectively worked as our GC by managing the various sub contractors in an efficient and expedient manner. We highly recommend DNBLA and would certainly use them again on all of our future landscape architecture projects.

David is an extremely professional landscape architect. His designs are very artistic and he has an outstanding concept of the finished project. He is very punctual and also able to maintain a reasonable budget. He will go to great links to make sure all projects are completed as designed.

David was an absolute pleasure with which to work. He was timely, attentive and reasonable in his charges. We told him that we wanted to use native plants and wanted a simple but complete plan. He gave us exactly what we wanted. David helped design the driveway, retaining wall, fire pit, lighting and walkways. He also oversaw installation. He was able to work well with the subcontractors we hired to perform the work. We enthusiastically recommend David.

We have worked with David on multiple projects and can honestly say that he is great to work with. His designs are some of the best in town and really have a way of taking any property to the next level! David designed an attractive functional solution to a severe water intrusion problem along the rear of a residential property. As the General Contractor on the project, we appreciated the details provided by his plans and his onsite presence to make any needed adjustments requested by the owner.
