When Savvy Giving By Design approached our family to transform our daughter's bedroom, we were initially hesitant. Our lives were consumed by the challenges of battling our daughter Gracie's cancer, and the idea of welcoming strangers into our home seemed overwhelming. However, we decided to take a leap of faith, and it turned out to be a big blessing. From the moment Savvy stepped into our lives, they displayed an unparalleled level of care, compassion, and professionalism. They recognized the significance of creating a special space for Gracie amidst her difficult journey with leukemia, and their dedication shone through every step of the process. Throughout the transformation, Gracie was filled with a mix of excitement and nervousness. The anticipation of the room reveal became a source of joy and happiness for her, a much-needed respite from the arduous chemotherapy treatments. Alas, when the moment finally arrived, our family was left speechless. The design Susan, the mastermind behind Savvy Giving By Design, came up with was nothing short of breathtaking. Every detail had been carefully thought out, with an abundance of personal touches that made Gracie's new room truly her own. From the beautiful custom painting that adorned the walls to the exquisite bookshelves, the space exuded warmth, comfort, and peace. But what truly sets Savvy apart is the way they involved not just Gracie but also her two siblings in the process. They understood the importance of including the entire family, creating a sense of togetherness and support during a challenging time. It was evident that every decision they made was driven by a genuine desire to bring joy and healing to our entire family. In addition to the remarkable transformation they accomplished, Savvy exceeded our expectations in every other aspect as well. They seamlessly worked around our schedules, accommodating our needs with flexibility. Every person who entered our home, from the designers to the volunteers, was warm, friendly, and incredibly helpful. The impact of Savvy Giving By Design's gift extends far beyond the physical changes in Gracie's room. It has become a sanctuary, a retreat where she can find solace, and a source of comfort and healing. The love and support that permeate the space serve as a constant reminder of the incredible community that surrounds us. Looking back, we are grateful that we said yes to Savvy Giving By Design. Their dedication and extraordinary talent have created an environment that nurtures Gracie's spirit and gives her strength during her ongoing battle. The generosity of this nonprofit organization truly knows no bounds. Thank you to everyone who was involved in these room makeovers. There’s a quote out there that goes, “There’s no such thing as a small act of kindness. Every act creates a ripple with no logical end.” In 2021 our 13-year daughter was diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumor, that then turned into a host of lifetime problems, including loss of her peripheral vision in both eyes. For the past two years, we have been trying to navigate a world that no child, parent, sibling, or any human should ever have to experience. In our little bubble, the experience of “JOY” comes in the form of our daughter getting to skip a poke and probe day, or a canceled appointment so her older sister doesn’t have to babysit her younger brothers, or an early appointment that allows us parents to be present for our boys’ baseball games. Savvy Giving by Design, and every single person involved, has redefined our meaning of joy and gratitude! What you have given to ALL FOUR of our children was not just a redesigned room; it is so much more! You have given them an oasis in a bleak desert. Complete strangers have shown them the beauty of kindness in this world, which will forever stick with them and have a rippling effect in their lives. Savvy Giving by Design has made such a difference in so many cancer families’ lives bringing a little joy n a very dark period of these families lives. Bringing smiles to not only the children, who are warriors, but also to the no parents and siblings seeing their love one go through this.

Savvy Giving just made over our 4 year old son’s room who is battling pediatric cancer and his younger brother. What they create is beyond a room makeover, it is complete room transformation that is functional for a child who is healing. From the flooring that doesn’t hold dust or allergens and can be easily cleaned, to the recessed lighting so we can do midnight feeds and meds, and a space that he can love and rest when needed. We are in love with the work they did!

Savvy Giving by Design is the most amazing organization! The mission to help the most critically ill children is dear to our hearts. These children are blessed to heal and recover in a beautiful, professionally-designed space that is uniquely their own.

Every single time the Savvy team does a new room I keep thinking, there is no way they can outdo the last room! And every single time I am in awe of the beautiful design and creativity and uniqueness of each space! And they make sure it is comfy and easy to maneuver for these kids that are trying to heal. Love love love all of it!

I always look for amazing ideas from Savvy! And when they began doing children’s rooms as well I knew this was a company to keep an eye on! Great givers in the community with an even greater heart!
