Boshaw Residential is a custom home building and home renovation company owned and operated by Ron Boshaw. Ron is respected in the industry for his personal and friendly hands-on approach to premier custom home building projects in Hilton Head Island such as Sea Pines, Bluffton and Okatie, including Hampton Hall, Oldfield, Spring Island, Belfair, Palmetto Bluff, Colleton River and the surrounding Lowcountry. Ron Boshaw has 25 years of premier home construction experience, including a Bachelor of Science in Building Construction Management from Michigan State University. He has expertise in virtually every facet of homebuilding, from design to field management to working as a division president with a Fortune 500 national luxury home building. In 2012, Ron saw an opportunity for a new homebuilding company that operated a little bit differently. Ron's approach to homebuilding is as an accomplished businessman. His experience assures financial stability, transparency, greater value and better quality for every client. Ron works with clients who appreciate the value of his experience, business expertise and accomplishments. Ron describes his business as "relationship driven." His clients respect his collaborative homebuilding approach which results in efficiency, timeliness, quality and value for every client. Boshaw Residential is known for its creative approach to homebuilding. Along with design and construction knowledge, Ron brings his creative eye to the homebuilding process, having acquired a reputation for uncovering "hidden spaces" as homes are revealed during the building process. Owners are delighted by the unique and unexpected custom features found in every Boshaw home. Boshaw clients get the best service possible because Ron is personally involved with every client in every aspect of homebuilding. He has also assembled a team of experts that includes an interior designer, project manager, and customer care manager who are involved with each home. Our experience with Ron Bowshaw and his entire staff has been nothing less then great! His sub contractors were wonderful. I go to my property every day and I can tell you the story behind every worker. I’m amazed at the the diversity and talent of all craftsmen building our home. Building a home during our current environment is a grinding process which requires patience and deferred gratification!!! It amazes me that such a talented builder, who is well-respected in not only Oldfield, but other local communities as well, can be criticized by ONE COUPLE when our experience has been completely different! It’s the same builder, the same place and the same time frame! I feel their remarks reflect negatively on MY home because we have the same builder! I’ve watched Ron and his project managers spent an inordinate amount of time dealing with the authors of this scathing review!!! It’s personal on their part, it’s unjust and has had a negative impact on the entire community. My wife and I are so excited to move in and be part of Oldfield. My experience with Ron Boshaw will be shared with anyone having the good fortune to decide to build with him.

It is interesting that of the 13 reviews there was only one that didn’t give Boshaw Residential a five star rating. We will add one more 5 star rating. Our home is a dream come true! Every detail was completed with care and excellence. Ron Boshaw was easy to work with, listen us and guiding us through the process. He is incredibly honest and has such integrity. We always knew where we were financially. The subs respect Ron which says a lot about how he treats them. What we find even better is that when we need anything done in our home, we call Ron and he contacts the electrician, plumber etc. then they immediately get back to us, which doesn’t happen with most services these days. Another plus is that Ron will be available if you what to add on or change something well after your home is build. We recently wanted to convert our screened in porch to a four season porch and Ron made that happen. Many of our neighbors says tier builders are too busy to take on small projects. Once you build with Ron, he is there for you. We highly recommend Boshaw Residential as a 5 star builder. Al and Cathy Borm

We DO NOT recommend this builder. These good reviews are very old. Our experience is fresh. We hired Boshaw Residential to build our 6500 square foot custom home in Oldfield. It was to be our dream home, something we have saved to build our entire lives. Within months we were concerned about many issues including when we would ever get in, the amount of water our house was taking in and much more. We terminated Boshaw in October of 2021 and then we found out the real story. We hired a top-rated forensic engineering firm to inspect our house before our new builder took over. It was so disturbing. The forensic team, Origin Cause, submitted a 42 page report full of horrific issues. Boshaw used non-specified materials without our knowledge, improper installations, unsafe installations and construction not conforming to code which led to structural defects. It was our worse nightmare come true. We have done 15 renovations in our married life and my husband is a engineer by trade. So its not our first rodeo dealing with contractors. We were also on property at least 4 times a week. We had no idea that the materials that our architect called for were not being used. We had no idea that a non specified sub with no liability insurance was being used throughout our house. When we were researching Boshaw we "bought" the pretty website. Building with Ron and his team at Boshaw was pure joy, everything a person could want in a builder. Our home was like their home. True professionals, they were patient, attentive, conscientious, tenacious, creative, resourceful, hardworking, organized, respectful, and determined to please. Above all they have pride in their work and INTEGRITY: we trusted them, felt supported at every decision. All this and good humor, too ! Of all the homes we've built, THIS was THE BEST.

We highly recommend our builder, Boshaw Residential. Ron Boshaw has the knowledge, experience, and hands on approach to build a great home. He incorporated our vision and proposed suggestions and ideas that enhanced our home. Boshaw Residential's interior designer worked closely with us to help with all selections. Her expertise was invaluable and she and Ron transformed our vision into a home that exceeded our expectations. Throughout the building process, Ron was very proactive with communication. He kept meticulous financial records, with regularly scheduled financial reviews. He was always well prepared. Ron has sound business acumen, kept on top of things, and delivered the project on schedule and on budget. He proved to be ethical and trustworthy, enabling him to employ highly skilled subcontractors. Ron has an outgoing, congenial personality which makes it easy, comfortable, and enjoyable to work with him. If we ever build another home in the low country, Boshaw Residential will be our builder.

Ron Boshaw is a true professional. Building a new home is an exciting but very challenging process. The decisions are seemingly endless. Ron was always there. He coordinated the entire process and gave us his professional opinion which proved to be invaluable. We found Ron to be professional, reliable, honest and most importantly extremely trustworthy. We would highly recommend Ron to anyone looking to build a high quality custom home.

We talked with several builders, and choose Boshaw Residential based on tours of several past builds, and feedback from former and current clients. While still in the early stages, we are pleased, and grateful to Ron for walking us through the process. Ron is very professional, accessible, and answers all our questions in a timely manner. We feel confident that Ron will build us a high quality home.

When we made the decision to have a home built, we interviewed several builders and walked through completed projects, and at the end of that process, Ron Boshaw was the clear choice. Always happy to answer questions and calm nerves as needed, Ron and his team skillfully guided us through the process of working through all of the details associated with a custom build. Home plans, design options and material choices were among the list of major decisions that had to be made. As we lived out of state at the beginning of the project, good communication was not only necessary, but essential. Ron was always quick to respond to all of our questions, which at times, were never ending! Extremely helpful in exploring solutions for design obstacles, Ron helped us to settle on a plan that would address all of our needs. During the various stages of construction, he responded to any concerns or issues we had, and worked with us to resolve them. Oh yes, and one more thing... We love our house!!!

My husband and I decided to retire to Bluffton, S.C, We received many recommendations for builders from neighbors, our realtor, and service professionals. The same 5-6 names were frequently repeated. After 3 trips to Bluffton to interview prospective builders and numerous phone calls and emails., it was easy to choose Ron Boshaw. Ron had all the elements that we were looking for in our builder. He is easy to communicate with and is easily accessible. We are building long distance with minimal returns to SC, so this ability is a priority Trust is a key element.. Everyone we spoke with praised Ron for his workmanship, honesty, ability to price the job appropriately and complete the project on time. We called subcontractors/suppliers and everyone said what a pleasure it was to work with him and that he paid his bills as soon as the invoice was received. We are on schedule with our home and look forward to its completion.

Ron is not only professional in his dealings but just as importantly, he listens to what the customer wants. When I explained my vision for aspects of the project, Ron took the time to understand what that meant and how it could be accomplished to my satisfaction and within budget! Ron has done an excellent job to date and the job site and all sub have been incredible! We have built about 10 houses in out lifetime and this has been the best transition so far!
