As a renovation contractor, I have had the privilege of working with Jamie Stuart on a couple of jobs. I appreciate his attention to detail and the quality of his work. His cabinets are ready when he says they will be, and there are no surprises when the bill comes. Jamie is willing to go the extra mile to make sure the customer gets top quality, design, and finish.

My husband and I had a Harvest table top built by Jamie for an existing base we had. We were so thrilled with the entire experience; from start to finish, Jamie was a pleasure to work with and the finished piece is absolutely beautiful!

I worked with Jamie on a small, but very detailed, renovation that involved several small projects such as: - replacing a cabinet in an existing kitchen on which he did an excellent job of fitting and matching the cabinet to make look as if it had always been there -black walnut counter, shelves, and spacers for a new bar area -black walnut built in shelves of which one is a 'secret' door - very cool! -built in fireplace shelf cabinet which again he did an excellent job on colour matching to the black slate to make it 'disappear' My clients were thrilled with Jamie, referring to him as a master at his craft. . Jamie is conscientious and delivers what and when he promises - I was also pleasantly surprised with his price points on this project. I would not hesitate to recommend Jamie to anyone and hope to get the chance to work with him again in the future.

Our project was a full Kitchen "gut" and new install. From start to finish it was evident that Jamie takes enormous pride in his workmanship. He took full control of the project including scheduling the Trades. Project was completed on Budget, on Time and with minimum disruption to other areas of the house. We have used Jamie Stuart recently in an extensive complete home renovation. (Photos are on Houzz under Stuart Wood Joinery labelled "Sardis") 1. He built our entire kitchen, including an island and floating open shelving with recessed lighting (the island and shelving were built from old salvaged and distressed lumber) 2. We salvaged the old existing wood flooring that was in the home and Jamie turned it into a beautiful wall application around our fire place. 3. After finding some old wood panels at Winners, Jamie transformed them into wooden shutters for our living room window - a stunning job and conversation piece! 4. He built two beautiful custom designed bathroom vanities. 5. He built a floor to ceiling cupboard and book shelf wall unit in our home office. 6. He flawlessly modified our existing over-sized desk to fit our smaller home office. Jamie is a master craftsman who delivers a beautiful product every time. His attention to detail is unparalleled. His has an ability to understand what the client wants and he delivers! He has an outstanding work ethic and is honest and reliable. He does not cut corners and provides great value. He takes care of even hidden details that you might never be aware of. He is trustworthy and we highly recommend him.

From the moment we met Jamie and discussed tentative cabinet design, to the last day he put some finishing touches in our kitchen, we were comfortable with him and amazed at his ability to transform wood into Art. He takes pride in his work and it shows in all the attention to detail. Because we were pressed for time, he actually worked after hours for many days to install our cabinets. We loved the fact that, not only is he the builder, but also the installer. The hardware he used is also of top quality. We have a number of large drawers in our kitchen design, and I can easily fill them with heavy items without a problem. Jamie was always available to answer any questions we had and communicated with my husband and myself throughout the planning, building, and installing stages. The result is a gorgeous kitchen that truely is the heart of our home!

This was our second kitchen renovation in 30 years. The previous renovation did supply good custom cabinets, but Jamie's approach to cabinetry definitely raised the level of craftsmanship. The kitchen was challenging due to uneven flooring ,and very old utilities. His approach to planning and solutions to storage, and work space provided us with a kitchen that is efficient with the old world look we had envisioned. The craftsmanship and joinery is beyond our expectations. His associate, Kevin Takenaka, was a delight to work with, providing first class workmanship. Jamie was honest with project timing and completed the work within our time table expectations. He listened to our ideas and provided solutions with good humor.
