Deb Bayless - Design for Keeps

I couldn't be happier with Deb. We were a little stuck on certain aspects of our kitchen update and Deb helped us through those challenges and gave us suggestions for some changes we had not even considered. Deb came up with several great designs for our kitchen remodel. I did not express what I wanted very clearly but somehow Deb managed to include all the features I wanted in my dream kitchen. In addition to her creativity she is a good business person. Deb responds quickly to communications, is flexible on scheduling meetings, and communicated well with both me and my husband. When the design was finalized she provided a final binder with all the necessary information for the contractor/builder to implement. We have three bathrooms that need to be done and our builder, who has worked with Deb before, is insistent that we use Deb!

Deb's positive energy and responsiveness made her easy to work with, but it was her ability to offer practical and creative solutions that gave us the confidence to dream big with our cozy home. During my kitchen remodel, I received several recommendations but went with Deb Bayless of Design For Keeps LLC after a recommendation from designer Renee Dion. Once I met Deb, I knew she was the best person for the job based on her professionalism, design expertise and eye for detail. In our first meeting we discussed the vision for the new kitchen. She listened to every word I communicated and came back to the second meeting with several sketches. Without delay, I selected a single sketch that delivered functionality and personality. During our next meetings, we discussed multiple ideas including cabinet color, style and options. Throughout the project she provided creative feedback, resources and options for each aspect of the new kitchen. Needless to say, everything fell into place as planned. Deb was great to work with and always had plenty of ideas and resources to complement our vision. Her focus on detail eliminated delays or any need for last minute changes. The final product was a beautiful white kitchen that was visually stunning, warm and perfect for our new condo. I highly recommend Deb for any home planning and design project.

After interviewing several cabinet designers, we knew Deb Bayless - Design For Keeps, was the designer we wanted to work with. Deb came highly recommended by our interior designer, Renee Dion, and she absolutely was the right choice! Deb helped us to design every cabinet in our new custom home, which is a Modern Farm House style built in a historic district. Her designs included our kitchen, three bathrooms, library, family room built in cabinetry, pantry, mud and laundry room. We gave Deb a long list of “wants” for our home and she listened to exactly what we said and also gave us her creative ideas to make our dream home become a reality! Her ideas were spot on, from her beautiful custom design of our kitchen hood, and the library fireplace mantle and built in shelves, down to the organizing of all my kitchen drawers - identifying what exactly should be stored in each drawer (foil, flatwear, pot holders,etc.)! She suggested the placement of all our major appliances and after being in our home a year now, we really appreciate the stunning look and the perfect flow of our kitchen and all the other spaces she designed! Deb was quick to respond to our requests, had great attention to detail and worked extremely well with our interior designer, Renee Dion, The Dion Group, and our architect, Studio21, Downers Grove, IL, to create our beautiful home. She was also always quick to come to the construction site anytime the cabinet installers had questions. After doing hours of research and upon her suggestions we choose Greenfield and Monarch cabinetry. And now after one year in our home we can honestly say we would not change a thing! Our kitchen reflects the modern farm house look we were after! Professionals that worked on and have visited our home always comment on the quality and beauty of the cabinetry. The library with the sliding ladder, custom fireplace mantle and wall of shelves and cabinets, is as our friends call it the “pièce de résistance” of our home! Her custom kitchen hood that showcases my antique fireback is my favorite spot! We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Deb Bayless again and again!

My wife and I found Deb through Houzz for help in remodeling our master bath. She could not have been more professional. On her first visit to our home, she intently listened to what we wanted and needed. She asked all the right questions and provided guidance in areas we had not thought of. On her second visit, she showed us 4 design options. The first three were based on what we wanted and how it could be done. The 4th was her ideas of what we might want to consider. All 4 options looked great. Finally, we pulled the options we liked from a couple of the designs and asked Deb to combine into a final draft of what we want our bathroom to look like. Within 24 hours, we received the re-design. So impressed were we that before she left our home, we began discussing options for our kitchen remodel which we will use Deb to help design as well. Deb worked with me on a major kitchen and bath renovation. Design is not my "thing", so I relied heavily on her advice.
