We first worked with Jo several years ago in the redesign of the kitchen and bathroom of our family home in Kew. So, when we were down-sizing from our five-bedroom house to a two-bedroom flat, we knew we would need help! Jo was an absolute marvel in coming up with ideas on how we could use our limited space for maximum return. Her attention to detail was incredible, her drawings accurate to the millimetre and best of all, her creativity and good humour turned every disaster [leaking pipes] into a style feature [alcove storage]! She project managed the building of a completly new garden studio/office, including helping with choosing the right colours and furniture. We are thrilled with the versatility of outcome! Jo also project managed the complete overhaul of the main flat, including the installation of a new bathroom, the creation of a new w/c from what was peviously a closet space, the revamp of the kitchen and the remodeling of the bedroom. Over the four-month period, Jo held our hands through the design, selection, building and decorating stages of the works, providing expert advice and guidance - not just as a designer but also as a project manager. As the latter she had a quiet firmness in her day-to-day handling of the builders, plumbers, electricians, joiners and suppliers. We would happily and whole-heartedly recommend Jo to anyone wanting someone with an excellent eye for detail, design credibility, innate style and someone who is able to hear and act on what the clients want.

We wanted to renovate two bedrooms into a master suite for the parentals. Jo was referred to us by custom closet specialist Neatsmith and having worked with her, we fully understand why. We explained to Jo that we don’t have one design thought between us and would defer to her expertise for design and project mgt. She understood completely and talked through what we envisioned our room to be, after which she designed a bedroom suite which, after a few iterations / ideas / far off wishes from us, came out to our dream master suite. But the planning was just the start of it all. Jo’s builder came in and handling the ripping off of our floors to the final touches in the finished room. They noted corners which needed to be fixed/amended and were methodical in their work and craftmanship. Jo oversaw every aspect and was able to provide live feedback and changes (as wonky structural issues were found and resolved) on the fly. The building works were completed on schedule and on budget, and then the design work really started. Sometimes visions are not easily imagined if you are not creative as we weren’t. Jo was able to help us visualize ideas and was able to achieve the look and style we were looking for – a sultry master suite which is functional and inviting and relaxing. We would not have achieved this without her guidance, insight and patience. Her experience and knowledge enabled her to sift through our thoughts, ideas, worries and dreams – and create the dreamy oasis we were looking for in our own home. Jo works with our ideas, and translates them into design. She understands our constraints with time and works around us to get what she needs to allow the project to proceed. She pushes where needed, and pauses when required. We wanted something a bit edgier than a beige bedroom and she made suggestions to help us get there with remarkable results. She is flexible, adaptable and turns on a dime if something presented is a firm no from us. Jo has been a pleasure to work with and we look to do more projects with her as soon as we can get our act together to prioritize. She has given us ideas on how to raise the style without tearing the entire place apart and identify key areas and projects which will have the maximum impact – you would not get any better than that!

We needed some inspiration to get started in decorating the home we've lived in for 20 years. The consultation with Jo gave us the impetus needed; she shared both achievable and ambitious ideas, with a real understanding for what was important to us. Still work in progress, and love the end result of what has already been completed!

My wife and I really struggled to find a designer that fit for us. Jo was the one that finally fit. She was absolutely key in the design of our house and it's various spaces. We particularly liked not just her attention to design/form but also her careful consideration of functionality--something which, when boiled down all the way, will always trump form. We recently bought a small house during lockdown which needed complete overhaul and modernisation throughout. Joanne came up with some great ideas of how to better use the internal spaces without structural changes. Her foresight to remove a redundant wall to create an open plan interior immediately made the space look much bigger. Her choice on the kitchen style, furniture layout, lighting and colours made perfect sense. Not only did she come up with innovative space saving designs but dealt with the various suppliers and builders through the entire project. We love our new home and have received many compliments. Not only is Jo friendly and professional but has a good command with tradesmen. We would highly recommend her services.

Jo first designed my flat and executed the work many years ago correcting what had been an extremely bad job. This year she came back in and redesigned the whole flat to update and include new features we wanted. The work was superb and her innovative storage ideas , sleek elegant practical are a big hit. Her design of cupboard in the bedroom with a TV with mood lightening has created a space that is calm sophisticated and watching the tV now is like a film experience. Jo has a very keen eye to shape and form and her lighting of the whole flat has created an area of subtlety and calm. I was first introduced to Jo when we were seeking advice in relation to the renovation and re-configuration of two upstairs bathrooms. We were keen to create the bathrooms with a contemporary finish but had a number of reservations due to size constraints and our wish to dispense entirely with an upstairs bath which was something we felt could have had serious implications on any subsequent re-sale of our home Suffice to say we had no reason to be concerned! Both bathrooms were designed to a high standard and achieved exactly the feel we were after. Some two years after installation they still feel new and it is still a pleasant surprise to enter them for the first time each morning! It was a simple decision for us when we came to select a designer to help us with a comprehensive ground floor re-fit of our home in June 2019. The downstairs layout of our home was poor consisting of an ill thought out reception/dining room and strangely shaped lounge which never maximised the space that was available to us We wanted the downstairs to become open plan and Jo's input in the layout here was crucial. Her eye for detail and problem solving expertise once again came to the fore. What was previously a cumbersome and for the most poorly used space was now fully utilised and we are delighted with the outcome. Jo's most recent work for us focused on an upgrade of a garage/kitchen conversion which was undertaken without her assistance in 2015. We are delighted with our new addition the space having been transformed into a large informal dining/entertaining space which compliments the more formal dining area introduced when the ground floor re-design was undertaken in 2019 I have no hesitation in recommending Jo. She has great ideas and quite simply we couldn't have achieved what we feel we have with our home without her input and guidance.
