From our first meeting I was astounded by Karen's ability to completely understand my vision for both the look and feel of our home. Her knowledge and appreciation of color, textures, and materials is particularly impressive and she used this ability to deliver a design that was diverse yet totally complimentary and consistent. Throughout the project Karen ensured that my vision was protected and prioritized, even when this created additional work for her. Another of Karen's strengths is her ability to select, coordinate, and supervise contractors ensuring that our design became a reality. I unreservedly recommend Karen.

We hired Karen Hutchinson to help us with a remodel. Throughout the process, Karen was always professional and easy to work with. She has a keen eye for detail and color. For example, our home had dark paneling from the 70's, old carpet and dated fixtures. Karen transformed the space into a fresh and modern feel by painting the walls a light sandy gray, adding light hardwood floors and added an eye-catching chandelier which is made of nickel and iron. Karen has the ability to meet deadlines and stayed within our budget. The neutral color palette has allowed our home to look much bigger and allows us the ability to swap out a few accessories if we want to quickly transform the space. We absolutely love our home and truly feel we couldn't have done it without Karen's knowledge and expertise.

I definitely recommend Karen Hutchinson without reservation. Her artistic vision and eye for details made the project come together beautifully. Every subtle nuance was taken into account, with creative ideas for using materials and making them extraordinary. The entire home used different elements in different spaces, yet it all flowed together in a cohesive whole -- the result of her unique talent. Her friendly personality and professionalism made the project flow smoothly, even when challenges arose, yet her calm determination made sure that deadlines were met. I would personally entrust her with projects of any size and scope. She is a delightful person with rare talent!

Hutchinson Design did a great job helping me choose a decor for a room in a home that we just purchased and was not sure how to use the space. Karen is very creative, taking my very limited ideas to put it all together to make it beautiful. She is very easy to work with and was also able to work within my budget.

As a Custom Home Builder I have worked with many different Interior Designers over the last 15 years and I would HIGHLY recommend Hutchinson Design to anyone. For me, there are 4 very important qualities that make a designer Great! 1st: They have to be able to listen to the client and capture the design intention and make it their own. 2nd: They have to be able to work with the client and keep them on track with GREAT design decisions. 3rd: They need to keep on schedule and work well with the architect, homeowner and contractor. 4th: Budget conscious. Karen at Hutchinson Design has these qualities and more. Her vision and attention to details are outstanding and I hope I am fortunate to work with her again.
