A nearly 50 year old firm, we are a unique resource for finding special and one of kind items. We work with an extensive network of local and to the trade furniture makers, craftsmen and artists to ensure whatever it is you are looking for, it will be beautiful and tailored specifically to you. Our interior design team provides a range of services; from simple reupholstery and window treatments to new home construction, large remodels and full-scale redecorating projects. In 1997, we had just downsized from our home to a condo. The views were spectacular and the “bones” were good. But we needed a lot of help with built-ins, redoing floors, designing layouts and purchasing furniture and window coverings. Overwhelmed, I needed help! LCR and Jill Rankl came to the rescue. Highly recommended, Jill fulfilled every expectation and more. Quick to pick up on our taste and lifestyle, the process was “pain-free.” Budgets and timelines were adhered to, and subcontractors were talented and professional. Fast forward twenty years to 2016. Having purchased a house in a community 50 miles away, I thought finding a local designer would be the answer. Wrong! Jill and LCR came to the rescue once again. Plans were drawn, items purchased, and a huge weight lifted from our shoulders. Visits to our home were made and communication via texting and emailing kept me updated every step of the way. The process is ongoing, but EVERYTHING looks fantastic. Jill’s eye for color, space and design is exemplary. She is a perfectionist.

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME! I have never been so insulted. I had a consultation for our home in Simsbury. The designer stated that my current furniture was not " on the the " level" of furniture that they usual sell." So she didn't think that we were their ideal type of client since we wouldn't be spending " at least $20k per room as their minimum for designers to work with you". We have in the past used Ethan Allen, Bassett, pottrry Barn, and Arhaus to give you a reference of our "furniture level". I was floored, we have a eclectic style and wanted it to fit our new home. We are in a upscale neighborhood, and we were eager clients. Don't bother with these incredible snobs!!! Good luck with finding your " ultra rich" clients!!!

I worked with Peter on a house we bought last year in Florida.he designed built-ins for our family room and bedroom that are exquisite! His sense of proportions is so great and he has great style and taste. He was so wonderful to work with and our home turned out just as beautiful as I had hoped it would.Peter was always available for advice and always looked for just the right fabrics and pieces...his assistant,Sherri Pliskin was just as available and helpful.I can't rave about LCR enough! Peter is a wonderful,designer and excellent to work with...

We have been with LCR- Hartford for 10 years. Peter Robbins is extremely talented. He has redone our present house & is heavily involved in our new construction. Our contractor has said he is the best designer they have ever worked with. Peter & his staff always & quickly responds to phone calls, emails & texts. His staff is professional & courteous. Peter Robbin has worked with us on three projects in CT and RI over the last 12 years. We find his ideas are imaginative and visionary. He has an excellent sense of architectural design, color, texture, and proportion. His designs and installations are always professional and timely. When a project is complete we think it reflects a good combination of our family's style along with his sophisticated eye and gentle guidance. We truly respect Peter as an artist, and always look forward to having fun working with him!!!

I have worked with many decorators but none as talented as Peter Robbin and Sherri i Pliskin of LCR. They listen, try very hard to accommodate my wishes, and if they miss the target, they quickly and efficiently come back with other alternatives. They are extremely respectful all of "my style" which I'm sure is not always the latest. Recently I let them go all out on one room and the results are spectacular! They are extremely talented designers. You will not go wrong using them! We are involved in a sizable project and I couldn't be more pleased. They are simply the best!

We first met Peter when we were decorating a small portion of our first house. When the time came to build our dream house Peter was our go to guy. He worked with us throughout the entire design and construction process and was very instrumental in bringing our vision to life. Peter has a seemingly endless supply of ideas and remained unfazed by any challenge, and there were many, that we threw at him. As we continue working with Peter his sense of style, color and attention to detail, from interior to exterior, has helped us turn our home into a place that we never want to leave. We cannot imagine having done this project without Peter's assistance and would recommend him without any reservation.

Working with LCR Design (Peter and Jill) was truly a great experience and a wonderful and satisfying outcome. They offered many different ideas and were supportive of our own suggestions. Their attitude was always positive, cheerful and met the deadlines established. They kept our projects on task and were always available for consultation. We would highly recommend them for design, furnishings and home decorations.

I am in the process of having a house built and need decorating services. Jill Rankl of LCR was recommended to me and I have been working with her the past few months and will continue to do so after we move in the end of May. Jill is great to deal with - somewhat difficult since I am down South for the winter but we have been exchanging pictures and having frequent conversations regarding selections. She is very tuned in to my needs and likes. I highly recommend using her services.
