Amon and Avi did a great job for us. They got to understand how we lived and what we wanted from our house. They had many creative ideas that dramatically improved our project. From time to time we didn't like their ideas and that didn't dampen the enthusiasm for the project. They were a pleasure to work with; always available (til late at night). They always found a way to accommodate our changes during the design phase and were always there when we had issues during the construction. As well as the design the helped with recommendations of other professionals.

Amnon Levi was a chief architect who worked on a major remodeling and extension of our single story Eichler house in Mid-town Palo Alto. We added a bedroom suite, a new bathroom, new main kitchen, and extended the house by converting a garage and adding a 400 sq ft semi-independent guest unit. We are very lucky to have found Ashford Associates and Amnon Levi who has a remarkable patience, knowledge and vision for the beautiful contemporary architectural solutions that manage to build on and improve on the mid-century Eichler style. Amnon transformed our small almost 70-year-old house into what we feel is a fresh contemporary take on a high ceiling, airy Eichler style. His design not only managed to organically expand the living space but also preserve the overall stylistic connection to the underlying architectural style and the neighborhood. Like many people who went through the challenges of house remodeling recently we found that it is extremely important to have an architect and contractors who have prime knowledge and specific first-hand experience of working through many regulatory and often nonsensical challenges imposed by the local building authorities. Ashford Associates were indispensable in this regard and helped us tremendously by advising and challenging our builders to find the best economical and practical solutions while also meeting the regulatory requirements. In conclusion, we are very happy with the result and would gladly recommend Ashford Associates to others, as long as their houses are not too close - say 2 miles - from our house :)

Ashford Associates has a reputation of excellence and I felt lucky when they agreed to work on my 1 bedroom, 900sf condo. Their work goes beyond excellent, it has a touch of genius, a unique artistic talent, out of the box ideas, the ability to produce a tremendous outcome with minimal modifications to the structure. The guest bed that I asked for is a three dimensional amazing art piece, structural poles look intentional, and even enhancing the design. Wires, speakers are hidden inside walls without reducing space (not trivial to do with a rigid structure and HMO rules). Every single person entering my home is in awe (friends, contractors, cleaners). For me it’s a whole new quality of life, never knew that a home can make such a difference In how I feel. Amnon and Avi from Ashford Associates did know, they have the right philosophy about home and happiness, and a magical ability to implement it.

Ashford Associates was recommended to us by a family friend who had worked with them before. They did a wonderful job creating our home remodel design plans. We started with a 3 bedroom 1.5 bath home with a vintage 1950s kitchen and bath. I remember having my own idea of how I thought the house could be remodeled, but after meeting with Amnon to review our priorities, he ended up presenting back a completely different way of using the space in our home. Their design incorporated beautiful sightlines from the front of the house to the back, and also created the flow we wanted from the public side of our home (Kitchen/FR/DR/LR/Office) to the private side. They were very professional and walked us through prioritizing requirements, developing the concept, and creating the detailed designs. Amnon became our trusted advisor and it was a pleasure to work with him throughout the process. We are so happy with the end results and recommend them highly because they were able to transform our home to be bright and airy as well as super functional.

Amnon from Ashford Associates helped us remodel our old ranch style home into a modern, open spaced concept. He worked with us to understand our criterion and helped us envision the bold changes. We would highly recommend Amnon Levy and Ashford Associates Designers & Developers architectural firm We hired Amnon Levy to design the plans for renovation and addition of our old house in Palo Alto. Our project is now almost finished, pending final touches and inspection. And it looks absolutely beautiful. Amnon was able to grasp the concept of what we were looking for and turn it into reality. He spends the time listening to and understanding your needs. He knows the city and its codes very well and gives accurate expectations of timelines and what the city will allow. Amnon was always available during the project to answer any question that we, or our contractor have. He also regularly visited the project and provides timely feedback for our contractor to address. He is also was always there to hold our hand throughout all the decisions and to lend an opinion when we wanted one. I would never think of building or remodeling again without Amnon’s help. We hired Ashford Associates to design a modern new home to suit our family while making the most effective use of an odd-shaped lot and keeping the design spirit of the original homes in the neighborhood. Ashford Associates have done a great job, exceeded our expectations, and are among the best value providers of all the professionals that we used for our project. They started by encouraging us to discuss all the things we needed and wanted in our dream house, including those that did not seem feasible to us at the time, and came up with creative design options that ultimately gave us more than what we hoped we would get in our most optimistic dreams. They were open to our feedback during the design process, collaborated, and were flexible accommodating our busy schedule. Once the design was complete they continued to be engaged throughout the city permit process and the construction. It was clearly apparent that they had an emotional connection with the design and went to great length to ensure that it becomes a great place for us to live in. We wanted to remodel our 2-story, all-bedrooms-upstairs, conventional 1979 house. The idea was to turn it into a modern, open-floor plan design with the master bedroom and bath downstairs. We couldn’t figure out a workable way to do that. Amnon agreed to work with us and offer us choices of plans, to either use and do the project, or decide against and abandon it. He listened to our needs and wishes, and came up with 5 design plans, from which we could pick and choose features we liked, to put together a full design. After several meetings, we decided that we liked his proposals and philosophy, and signed a contract for the full project. At every step of the way, Amnon was creative and helpful. He has years of experience and solid architectural knowledge that enable him to come up with ideas and solutions to fit our overall needs and wishes. We liked most of his ideas and accepted the vast majority of them. He carried the design to completion, through many revisions of details at our request, finally working with the city planning department to get it approved, and the work was ready to start. Amnon worked with our contractor whenever there was a question about design details or implementation, and came back to the site several times for reviews and consultations. The final step was to provide a plan for new backyard hardscape and overall landscape that will complement the house design. The house looks gorgeous and Amnon’s touch is seen everywhere. We love his detail and all his creative work. He was a pleasure to work with, and we recommend him very highly.

We hired Ashford Associates to design our home addition and remodel the existing 60 year old house. They did a fantastic job!
